A rope park is not only a sports and recreational facility. It also has a developmental and educational function, allowing participants to learn through experience gained while playing in the rope park. This experience becomes the first lesson in risk assessment. The rope park has been designed and built in a way that ensures the necessary safety for participants while also allowing them to gain valuable life experiences such as planning and evaluating risk. Thanks to this, participants learn to measure their abilities against the challenges they face. In a rope park, where risk is clearly defined and controlled, children also learn to independently assess what is safe for them and what may involve some level of risk. Such knowledge and experience are useful for all of us in everyday life, where a poor risk assessment may result in consequences far more serious than a simple bump or a sprained finger.
